Take a walk around the "Heart of Rocks" loop in Cochise County's beautiful Chiricahua National Monument. If you love hoodoos and rocks, this is the location for you. A wonderland of rocks awaits.

See the trail map below for possible ways to access the location of this Virtual Cache. Make sure you hike the entire Heart of Rocks loop (highlighted on the map below) to see all the named rock formations. Many of the formations are posted with charming, rustic signs but I also provided some waypoints below. The posted coordinates are for "Punch and Judy" and are at approximately the halfway point of the Heart of Rocks loop. Shortest total RT distance is 7.3 miles. If you don't usually walk much for a cache, don't let the distance discourage you, the trails are well-maintained and pretty moderate on the elevation change. Remember to bring more water than you think you'll need and give it a try!

Stay On The Marked Trails!
Groundspeak requires explicit permission from the landowner to get a Virtual Reward published. (Many thanks to my aunt for helping in this regard.) Part of the stipulation for getting approval here in Chiricahua National Monument, is that cachers stay on the trail. Please study the below map for a few possible ways to access the Heart of Rocks. The trails are marked, maintained, and should be followed at all times.

To claim this cache do BOTH of the following:
- Post a pic of you AND your GPS in front of Punch & Judy (from the posted coordinates) or alternatively, just post a picture of your GPS device in front of Punch and Judy.
- Post a pic of just you or just your GPS with your favorite rock formation from the provided list of six waypoints below.
Logs which don't meet both of the requirements will be deleted without warning. Logs containing Photoshopped pictures or pictures taken against a computer screen will also be deleted.
Not sure how I was picked for a Virtual Reward since I mostly ignore Virutal and Earth caches but I hope folks enjoy this one. Have fun! :)
