The woman who taught school and got married here (Caroline...because the sign may or may not be here...) was born 25 miles to the east in Brookfield, WI. There at that location is the other half of this book-end virtual experience. GC7EBF
Caroline was born in 1839. She began teaching in 1853 at the age of 16 and married her husband Charles a few years later in 1860.
For you hardcore fans, Caroline's mother is buried 8 miles south of this spot. In 1884 her mother Charlotte died and was buried in Rome Wisconsin...this was just before her granddaughter Laura got married many miles away. A marker about Charlotte is located in the cemetery located at N42 59.274 W088 37.801.
To get credit for this cache please post a photo of yourself (face not required) standing in front of the cabin (a picture of your GPS or another personal item with the cabin in the background is also acceptable).
Photos must not include the sign text which should be fairly easy now that it is missing.
Armchair logging is NOT permitted and logs without qualifying photos will be deleted as per the rules set forth by Groundspeak.
