Lordi's Square
The Lordi's Square (Finnish: Lordin aukio, known as the Sampo Square until 2006) is a square in central Rovaniemi, Finland. The square is especially popular in summer as a place to host various events. Formerly known as the Sampo Square, the square was renamed the Lordi's Square in June 2006 in honour of Lordi's victory in the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest. On 9 June 2006, the square held a folk party, where Lordi also appeared. All members of Lordi have been appointed honorary citizens of Rovaniemi. Hand prints and signatures of Lordi's line-up at the time can be seen at the Lordi's Square.
Logging tasks:
1.) Go to the clock tower at Lordi's square, put one or both of your hands in the hand prints of your choice, take a picture and add it to the log. The picture may include your face if you like, but "hands only" pictures are perfectly fine. |

2.) Take a picture of the clock tower showing the display with the current temperature and add it to your log as well. |
3.) Look out for a nearby signpost that shows the respective distances to the following locations: Polar Circle, Arktikum, Korundi and Aalto Centre. Find out the distance to the Arktikum and send us the answer via message center. |
