Cliffe Castle
After many years of neglect the grounds have now been given a facelift - the fountains are working again and the fishpond has been rebuilt. The aviary, glasshouse and cafe have all been rebuilt in a semblance of their former selves. It's a shame the building cannot be reunited with the crenelations and towers which were removed many years ago. I always think the house looks "bald" without the "battlements" I knew in my younger days.
To claim the Virtual you will be asked to find 8 bits of information, 4 around the grounds and 4 in the museum (see the "Related Web Page" above for entry times - admission is free). Please do not reveal the answers in your logs, but send them to me via my profile or Email. Please log the cache as "found" anyway - I will let you know if your answers are not as expected.
