Svalbard is the only place in the Kingdom of Norway where you may see and meet live polar bears. In order to be allowed to log this virtual geocache, you have to answer these questions, and send your answers to the cache owner; and post the picture requirement in your log.
First a few educational questions about polar bears:
1. What is the latin name for polar bears?
2. What is the colour of their skin?
3. What is the colour of their fur, and why does it look white?
4. Not far from the placement of this virtual cache there is a rather large polar bear in shiny metal. Underneath it there is a sign. What are the letters and numbers on the bolt on the upper middle part of the sign?
5. Take a picture of yourself with a polar bear and post with your log! Bonus points if the bear is alive (but negative points if yourself are not after the encounter). The picture must be taken in or near Longyearbyen or on on a trip starting from here, and from a visit you had yourself after the publication of this geocache. The picture should include yourself in some way, or your gps.

6. How many polar bears (both taxidermed, alive and furs) have you seen while in Longyearbyen? Feel free to post a picture of them as well!
Polar bears are dangerous creatures and may kill you! Do not leave Longyearbyen without a guide and proper weapons. It is possible to join guided tours where you might happen to see polar bears if you really want to see one.
