Geocache Description:

Welcome to St David's - the UK's smallest city. This tiny place, home to fewer than 2000 people, owes it's city status to it's beautiful cathedral. This virtual cache will allow you to take the opportunity to explore the cathedral building.

Saint David, the patron saint of Wales, founded a monastery here some time in the early 6th century and it has remained an important ecclesiastical site ever since.

Virtual Reward - 2017/2018

This Virtual Cache is part of a limited release of Virtuals created between August 24, 2017 and August 24, 2018. Only 4,000 cache owners were given the opportunity to hide a Virtual Cache. Learn more about Virtual Rewards on the Geocaching Blog.

To Claim:

There are two ways to claim this cache depending on if the building is open or not. Wheelchair users may find the outside question easier to access.

First Option: Inside the cathedral, within the presbytery, you will find the shrine of Saint David. On the BACK of the shrine are two paintings. Email me the names of the people depicted in the paintings.

OR...

Second Option: If you prefer not to enter the cathedral (or if it's closed), as an alternative locate the new 'gargoyle' on the South East exterior corner. What is it wearing?

Please don't wait for a reply from me before logging - I will contact you if your answers need clarifying.
