Barmouth Bridge with Cadair Idris behind
Barmouth Bridge (Pont Abermaw) is the longest wooden viaduct in Wales (699 metres). Trains, pedestrians and cyclists cross the Mawddach estuary between Barmouth and Arthog/Fairbourne here.
The bridge was opened in 1867 and has become as synonymous with Barmouth as the beautiful sandy beaches and the stunning hills of Snowdonia which surround the town.
You've seen the postcards, now it's time to cross this beautiful old bridge.
Logging Requirements
You must post a photograph taken near (within 100') the posted coordinates on the footbridge. You, your GPSr or an item which clearly identifies you (i.e. your dog, your caching name written on something etc) must be in the photo. It must clearly show that you are on Barmouth Bridge. Don't send the photo to me, just post it on your "Found it" log.
It's as simple as that!
