VISITEZ LE MONUMENT DE SAMUEL DE CHAMPLAIN
Samuel de Champlain a fondé la ville de Québec en 1608. Un monument a été érigé en son honneur en 1898 sur la terrasse Dufferin, près du château Frontenac. Cette cache virtuelle vous permettra de venir saluer ce grand homme.
Sur la base du monument, vous apercevez un groupe de trois personnages allégoriques. Parmi eux, une figure féminine représentant la ville de Québec regarde et écoute Champlain de façon contemplative tout en transcrivant ses paroles dans un grand livre.
Pour vous qualifier à loguer cette cache comme trouvée, vous devrez retranscrire ce texte (une phrase de 14 mots) et me le retourner via le Centre de messagerie de Geocaching HQ ou par courriel.
Vous pouvez ensuite inscrire votre "Found" sans attendre d'acceptation. Advenant une erreur, vous serez contacté.
Veuillez joindre à votre log (et NON au message que vous m'envoyez) une photo du monument avec un signe distinctif (quelque chose qui rend votre photo unique et qui prouve votre présence sur place: soit votre GPS, votre téléphone, votre main pointant Champlain, ou vous-même - visage non obligatoire).
VISIT THE MONUMENT OF SAMUEL DE CHAMPLAIN
Samuel de Champlain founded the city of Quebec in 1608. A monument was erected in his honor on the Dufferin Terrace near Château Frontenac in 1898. This virtual cache will allow you to come and greet this great man.
On the base of the monument, you can see a group of three allegorical figures. Among them, a female figure representing the city of Quebec looks and listens to Champlain contemplatively while transcribing his words into a great book.
To qualify to log this cache as found, you will have to transcribe this text (don't translate, just write-down the 14 word sentence in French) and send it to me through the Geocaching HQ Message center or by email.
You can then log your Found without waiting for acceptance. In the event of an error, you will be contacted.
Please attach to your log - but NOT to a message to me - a photo of the monument with a distinctive sign, either your GPS, your phone, your hand with a "Thumbs up", or yourself (anything that makes your photo unique and verifies that you were at the cache site - face not required).
