This is a virtual geocache - so there is no container to find or log to sign, instead you need to complete a simple task, which in this case is to take a photo and answer three questions - more info on that below
After much dithering I decided to place my virtual in a location I have enjoyed visiting for over 40 years, this place is the beach at Wells-next-the-Sea and the virtual is based on it's iconic beach huts.
The posted coordinates are for the bottom of the stairs part way along the beach huts and take you for a walk along beach to the last hut, if you wish to avoid lots of stairs you can walk along to the Lifeboat Station to access the beach.
There is a large car park behind the beach (parking waypoint added) but please note there is a charge to park there
If you have a dog with you they are allowed on the beach to the west side of the posted coords (you should be able to see the answer to the first question from there if you walk out a little way) Once you have reached the last beach hut if you wish you can head inland and then it is a pleasant walk through the pinewoods back to the car park
If the tide is out my favourite thing to do is to walk out towards the sea and you can often have miles of sand just to yourself but please be aware the tide can come in very quickly - so don't get caught out there! Seals can often be seen just on the other side of the creek near the lifeboat station too
Your task (should you choose to accept it!) is to:
1/ Take a photo of yourself and/or your GPSr in front of your favourite beach hut
2/ Send me via email or message the answers to the following questions -
a/ What colour is the first beach hut at the east end of the row?
b/ What is the name of beach hut number 183? (it made me chuckle!)
c/ What is the number of the final hut? (Since setting the number seems to have disappeared but it should be easy enough to count up from the nearest hut that has a number to get the answer!)
Please do not put the answers to the questions in your log or include photos that will give them away. You do not have to wait for a reply from me before logging, I will contact you if there are any problems. Any logs that haven't sent answers or included a photo are liable to be deleted - so don't forget!
