WELCOME TO HECETA HEAD!
Heceta Head Lighthouse is perched on a prominent headland, high above the Pacific Ocean. The light at the top of the 56-foot tower was first illuminated in 1894. Its now automated beacon shines 21 miles from land and is rated as the strongest light on the Oregon coast. From top to bottom, Heceta Head Lighthouse was built to guide from afar.
Learn more about this iconic structure by reading the interpretive panels along the trail to the lighthouse or by visiting www.oregonstateparks.org.
There is a $5 day use fee, payable at the credit/debit fee machine located in the parking area. Other permits honored include Oregon Coastal Passport, Oregon State Park Special Access Pass, and Oregon State Park Camp Receipt. All permits must be current.
