The posted coordinates are set in front of Todaiji Great Buddha Hall[EN] 東大寺大仏殿[JP] that houses the world's largest bronze statue of the Buddha.
In 745, making of the Great Buddha was initiated by Emperor Shomu(聖武天皇). In 752, the eye-opening ceremony(開眼供養会) was held with an attendance of 10,000 monks and 4,000 dancers to celebrate the completion of the Buddha. Since then, the Great Buddha was damaged by a number of disasters including earthquakes and fires in the course of the long history. It was, however, repeatedly revived by reconstruction efforts. Today, only small portion of the Great Buddha remains as original. Anybody seeing the Great Buddha will be overwhelmed not only by its size but by its long history including hard times.
Remarks:
Todaiji is a listed UNESCO World Heritage Site and the Great Buddha is a National Treasure.
Modest admission fee (600JPY Adult) is required to pay.

In order to claim "found" of this Virtual cache, please carefully execute the following four tasks:
1. Have a piece of paper (or note pad, or smartphone, or tablet ) on which you must write clearly
date of visit, your Geocaching ID, your home town, and your country
2. Enter the Great Buddha Hall.
3. Take a picture of the paper (or note pad or smartphone, or tablet ) and the Great Buddha in the same shot.
4. Upload the picture to your "found" log.
5. You do not have to send the picture to the owner at all.
Follow the Logging requirements exactly as stated OR your log will be deleted without notice.
