Geocache Description:

This is a walking history tour that will take less then 30 minutes of your time. These 3 sites are all on the part of the City of Kamloops Heritage Property Tour.

It's a Virtual because of the proximity to the rail line.

Park at Pioneer Park near the waypoint for Stage 3.

Stage 1 - Red Bridge - This is a wooden Howe truss road bridge built in 1936 that spans the South Thompson River and connects the City of Kamloops to the Tk'emlúps Indian Band's Reserve and industrial park.

The kiosk at the waypoints gives info on the bridge. You need to look at the east side in the top right corner. I need the 6th letter of the text on the stripe to know you were here.

Stage 2- Pioneer Cemetery - Pioneer rancher John Peterson provided property for a public cemetery in 1876. The last burial in Pioneer Cemetery occurred in 1901. The old cemetery was gradually abandoned and left derelict until 1962 when Kamloops took charge of it.

I have picked a spot outside the fence where you can see the remaining headstones. The info needed is on the most north-easterly slab. It’s upside down so you need to give me the 6th letter from the right in the names. This is a no-dog park- the reason the dog and I are outside the fence.

AS THERE HAS BEEN SOME CONFUSION I'VE CHANGED THIS SLIGHTLY. YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE 6TH LETTER AFTER 'FATHER'

Stage 3- Old Caboose and Cattle car. I have directed you to a sign to the north because there is no lettering on the rail cars that works for this challenge. The Cattle Car and Caboose are a testament to the cattle ranching industry established in the early 1860s and the transportation link to the rest of the country.

Again I need the 6th letter. This time it’s in the title Trails, Rails & … Letter 6 after ‘&’

UPDATE - THE CABOOSE AND CAR HAVE BEEN MOVED BUT THE SIGN WITH THE INFO YOU NEED IS STILL THERE. They are in the grounds of Kamloops Heritage Railway. This is just west of the Red Bridge.

To re-cap; Stage 1 -6th letter on east side top right, Stage 2- 6th letter north east headstone (after Father) and Stage 3 - 6th letter after '&'. Please give me the answers in this order so I know you are correct.
