The stories of the real animal became the inspiration for the painter Stanislav Lolek, who created drawings of this motif; the author Rudolf Těsnohlídek, who wrote short stories of the cunning little vixen; and, above all, the famous componist Leoš Janáček, whose name is intrinsically entwined with Hukvaldy. This fairy-tale theme fascinated him so much that he used it for the libretto of his 1924 opera „The Cunning Little Vixen“ („Příhody lišky Bytroušky“).
