Geocache Description:

Skara Brae

Skara Brae is a Neolithic settlement that dates back about 5000 years. It is older than the Great Pyramid of Giza and older than Stonehenge.

Skara Brae is only one of the Neolithic sites around Orkney. Including the Ring of Brodgar, the Standing Stones of Stenness and Maeshowe chambered cairn, the sites were designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999.
