On receiving the Virtual reward we had much discussion about where we would put ours. We have been settled in Shropshire for 17 years and felt we wanted to highlight something special in our county. Shropshire is a beautiful county with many natural beauty spots which we thought about bringing people to. But ultimately there was little reason why normal cache containers couldn't be placed there and we wanted to use this opportunity to go somewhere where we wouldn't ordinarily be able to take geocaching!
We give you Cosford! With all the celebrations this year commemorating 100 years of the RAF and 80 years of Cosford it seemed the most fitting time to release it. It is a wonderful place to visit, for the young and the not so young. I hope you enjoy your tour of Cosford in looking for the solutions for this cache.
To log this cache you need to answer the following 10 questions and send us the answers through the message owner button at the top of the page, along with the 2 photos requested. You do not have to show your face in the photos if you are shy (please feel free to if you are not!) but please then include your GPSr or note with the date or your caching name to identify the photo as particular to this cache. if you do not comply with the virtual cache requirements we reserve the right to delete your found log to keep it fair for all those who do the work required to earn the smiley.

Entrance to the Cosford Museum is free except for the air show in the summer (please check their website). You can pre-book your free ticket before arriving to speed things up going through the admissions area. Opening times are 10am to 5pm March to October and 10am to 4pm in the off season. There is a parking charge which at Sep 2024 is £7.50 for the day, pre-book online to save £1 (just show your barcode you get via email at the admissions desk for them to scan). There is a cafe on site or you can bring your own picnic. Dogs are not allowed in the exhibition (assistance dogs excepted).
Please note the whole area and the hangers especially really mess with your GPS and it is impossible to get a good read. I suggest you use the map to see where the waypoints are located to get you in the general vicinity. I have increased the difficulty to take into account this added challenge here.
