Geocache Description:

I was excited and felt challenged by being chosen as one of the 4,000 to submit a virtual cache, as the ones I have done in the past have been excellent.. Casa Loma was one of my favourite spots when I lived in Toronto. Hope you find it special too.

Although there are many modern beautiful buildings in Toronto, take a trip to see this rare beauty from the past. It is Toronto’s only castle. Casa Loma was built by Sir Henry Pellatt in 1911 at a cost of 3.5 million dollars. It took 300 workers, three years to complete. Rather than put all of the photos and detailed information on this page, I have provided a link below to a website on the history of the castle. Parking is right next to GZ, on the castle grounds.

A link to website with information on Casa Loma website is:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casa_Loma

In order to log this cache, do the following:

1.Provide a photo of yourself (you do not have to show your face) at the coordinates with a thumbs up, or a personal item to confirm you were there. Post it on line with your log.

2.As you face the castle at the posted coordinates, you will find a plaque about 3 metres to your left. Send me the title of the poem that is written on the plaque. Do not post your answer in your log."/strong>
