Ingen andre fjell har så god utsikt over Stavanger-området som Lifjell. Fra toppen har du panoramautsikt over hele Gandsfjorden, og Nord-Jæren, fra Sandnes i sør til Rennesøy i nord. Lifjellet er et populært turmål. Stiene er godt merket og opptråkket.
Det er minst 4 ruter til toppen på Lifjell. Den korteste og enkleste går fra Li. (Se parkeringsveipunkt). Turen til toppen tar 20-30 min og går på grusvei. Strekningen er 2 km en vei med 200 høydemeter stigning. De siste 2-300 metrene fra toppen til varden går på sti. Det er mulig å sykle eller gå med barnevogn til toppen, men ikke det siste strekket.
De 3 andre rutene starter på Dale. Alle rutene er rundturer på sti i terrenget. De varierer fra 6,5-9 km lengde og 2-5 timer. Den leste ruten er krevende, men for alle rutene bør en være vant med å ferdes i terrenget og ha gode sko og kle seg etter været. Alle rutene er flotte turer, og det er lurt å ta med nok drikke og gjerne litt mat på de lengste rutene. Det står informasjonsskilt med kart ved parkeringsplassen.
For å logge denne virtuelle cachen må du ta et bilde av utsikten fra varden, samt et bilde av deg selv eller din GPS/telefon med varden og utsikten i bakgrunnen og legge med loggen av funnet.

No other mountain top can match Lifjell's view of the Stavanger area. From the top you have a panoramic view of the entire Gandsfjord, and Nordjæren, from Sandnes in the south to Rennesøy in the north. Lifjellet is a popular hiking destination. The trails are well marked.
There are at least 4 different routes to get to the top of Lifjell. The easiest routes starts from Li (See parking waypoint), and 20-30 minutes to walk to the top. The distance to the top is 2 km and approx. 200 meter incline. The trail to the top is on gravel road, but the last few hundred meters are on hiking trail. It is possible to cycle to the top.
The 3 other routes all start from Dale (See parking waypoint). All of the routes are round trips on hiking trails in the terrain, and the distance varies between 6,5-9 km, and 2-5 hours. These routes should not be used if you are not used to walking on hiking trails in the terrain. You should wear proper shoes for walking in terrain and clothing to accommodate for changing weather, as well as bring water and food especially for the longest route. A information sign is located by the parking.
To log this virtual cache you must take a picture of yourself or your GPS/phone with the cairn and the view from at the top in the background. The photo must be enclosed to your found log.
