Celle-là, on la voit de loin. C'est l'Église de l'Ancienne-Lorette, ma ville de résidence. Cette église est située à proximité de l'endroit où une chapelle fut construite dans les années 1600... Jusqu'en juillet 2018, il y eut des fouilles archéologiques à proximité de la cache. Aujourd'hui le nouveau centre communautaire prend le relais.
Pour réussir cette cache, vous devez prendre une photo de l'église dans laquelle on voit votre GPS et la placer dans votre log.
L’histoire de Notre-Dame-de-l’Annonciation remonte à l’époque de la mission des Hurons. Le père Jésuite, Pierre-Joseph Chaumonot a alors la charge de cette mission. En 1697, les Hurons doivent quitter le territoire et fondent alors un nouveau village plus au nord, la Jeune Lorette. L’ancienne mission prend alors le nom de Vieille Lorette pour devenir, en 1722, l’Ancienne-Lorette. L’église actuelle est érigée de 1907 à 1910 et adopte le style Beaux-Arts, où s’entremêlent les styles classique et gothique, pour donner un résultat hors du commun.
