Градинката пред Народния театър:

Градинката пред Народния: едно от малкото места в София, обичани еднакво и от дядовците (играещи шах), и от техните внуци (правещи всичко останало). Тук градският живот непрестанно кипи - откриват се изложби, лятото се правят концерти, уикендите - събития за деца, около Коледа - празнични базари. И колкото по-познато и посещавано е едно място, толкова по-малко знаем за него. Ето няколко любопитни факта за градинката пред Народния театър:
1. Градинката пред Народния театър е известна с това си име на повечето жители и гости на София. Малцина обаче знаят, че официалното й наименование е Градската градина.
2. Градинката пред Народния театър е най-старият парк в столицата. Съществувала е тук още преди Освобождението, като е била на по-малка площ и е била засадена с плодни дръвчета. През 1878 г. първият граждански губернатор на София – Алабин, предлага градината да бъде преустроена и разширена под ръководството на градския архитект Антон Колар. Градината е оградена с ниска дървена ограда. В нея са изградени алпинеум и малък воден кът, павилион за музиканти и слънчев часовник за отчитане на времето.
3. На 4 април 1878 г. градинката е осветена и е наречена "Александровска" в чест на руския император Александър II. В тази връзка в центъра на градината е поставен гипсов бюст на последния.
4. Строежът на Народния театър започва чак през 1904 г., като за целта е съборена дървената сграда на театър „Основа“. Едва след това паркът започва да става известен като "пред Народния театър".
5. Градската градина остава непокътната до края на Втората световна война. Променя се най-много след построяването на Мавзолея – тогава е променен планът й, изградени са нови алеи и фонтанът, който днес се е превърнал в символ на парка.
Президентство на Република България - Смяна на караула:

Националната гвардейска част извършва ритуала „Тържествена смяна на почетния караул пред Президентството“ за първи път на 5 ноември 2003 г. На всеки кръгъл час се сменя караула пред Административната сграда на президента на Република България.

1. Визуално доказателство, че сте посетили "Градинката пред Народния театър".
2. Визуално доказателство, че сте присъствали на "Смяната на караула", която се извършва на всеки кръгъл час (По последна информация: на всеки кръгъл час от 08:00 ч. до 19:00 ч. - последната смяна).
ВНИМАНИЕ: Заснемането на визуланите доказателства, трябва да е на не повече от 30-40 метра радиус от зададените координати.

The garden in front of the National Theatre:

The garden in front of the National Theatre - one of the very few places in Sofia, beloved equally by the elders (playing chess) and the young people (doing everything else). The urban life here is going very fast - almost all the time there are new exhibitions opened, in the summer you can watch concerts, you can participate in the events organized for the children in the weekends, and you can go shopping in holiday bazaars opened for Christmass. And the more one place is visited the less we know about it. Here are several interesting facts about the garden in front of the National Theatre:
1.It is famous as the garden in front of the National Theatre among most residents and guests of Sofia. But few people know that its official name is the City Garden.
2. The garden in front of the National Theatre is the oldest park in the capital. It existed here even before the Liberation, being smaller in size and planted with fruit trees. In 1878 the first governor of Sofia – Alabin, proposed garden to be reconstructed and expanded under the lead of city architect Anton Kolar. The garden is surrounded by a low wooden fence. There were built a rock garden and a small water corner, a pavilion for musicians and a sundial for time display.
3. On 4 April 1878 the garden is illuminated and is named "Alexandrovska" in honor of the Russian Emperor Alexander II. Related to the above mentioned, a gypsum bust of the Emperor is placed in the center of the.
4. The National Theatre construction started in 1904, for that purpose the wooden building of the theater "Osnova" is demolished. Much later, the park becomes known as the "in front of the National Theater".
5. The City Garden remains intact until the end of World War II. It changes most after the Mausoleum was built – then the plan of the garden was changed, new alleys and the fountain were built. Now a days the fountain has become the symbol of the park.
Presidency of Republic of Bulgaria - Changing of the honor guard:

The National Guard performs the ritual "Ceremonial changing of the honor guard of the Presidency" for the first time on 5 November 2003 and every hour changes guard at the administrative building of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria.
Requirements to log the cache as found:
1. Visual proof, that you have visited the garden in front of the National Theatre.
2. Visual proof, that you have seen the Changing of the honor guard in front of the Presidency of Republic of Bulgaria, which is conducted hourly (Latest information is: hourly from 08:00 to 19:00 - last change of the guards).
ATTENTION: Taking of the visual proofs, have to be not more than 30-40 meters radius from given coordinates.
