Virtual Reward : Il Lambro Virtual Cache

Questa virtual è dedicata al fiume Lambro, che nasce in località Piano Rancio nel triangolo Lariano per sfociare infine nel Po dopo un articolato percorso attraverso la Lombardia.

Ben conosciuto dai Brianzoli (alto corso) e dai Milanesi (medio corso), il fiume incontra sul suo cammino il Parco di Monza all'interno del quale crea un suggestivo percorso molto carino da percorrere a piedi ma soprattutto in bicicletta.

Il Lambro si snoda nella parte sud orientale del Parco ed è affiancato per buona parte da una strada asfaltata e nella sua interezza da sentieri che corrono su entrambe le sponde, comunicanti tramite 4 ponti.

Dato che il parco è un ottimo luogo per fare geocaching di qualità mi pare un buon posto per ospitare una virtual e rendere più varia la tipologia di geocache recuperabili nello stesso. Probabilmente non è il posto più indicato in assoluto... ma essendo vicino a casa lo conosco bene e dovrebbe rientrare nello spirito di questi reward.

• Pare che anticamente il fiume fosse particolarmente limpido come conferma il detto milanese ciar com'el Làmber, "limpido come il Lambro". Questo detto è in antitesi però con altre ipotesi secondo cui il nome deriverebbe dai termini in lingua accadica: Luhmû (pantano) e Ambar (palude)
  
• Prima della realizzazione della deviazione chiamata Lambrone e della diga Cavo Diotti, il lago di Alserio e il lago di Pusiano arrivavano ad unirsi durante il periodo delle piene dando vita al Magno Eupili
  
• Il nome del famoso motociclo Lambretta si ispira direttamente al nome del fiume e veniva prodotto appunto nel quartiere di Lambrate dalla fabbrica Innocenti. Venne prodotto anche un motocarro chiamato Lambro
• Negli ultimi anni, a causa di sversamenti di sostanze chimiche o di fenomeni naturali, il Lambro ha cambiato colore varie volte:

This virtual is dedicated to the Lambro river which starts from Piano Rancio, a location in the middle of the Larian triangle, and dives into Po river after crossing the rest of Lombardy .

Well known by Brianza inhabitants (upper part) and by Milan people (central part), at a certain point the river finds it's way through the Monza Park in which it creates a beautiful path that you can enjoy by foot or especially by bike.

The Lambro flows in the south-west part of the Park: there are paths on either side of the river and they cross it by the means of 4 bridges. There's also a part of paved road running alongside the river.

This park is a very good place to play Geocaching so I decided to enrich the playing experience adding a Virtual cache in here. Maybe it's not the best spot for this kind of geocache... but the Park is near home and I know it very well, so I think this meets the spirit of these rewards.

• It seems that a long time ago the water of this river was crystal clear, hence the Milan motto ciar com'el Làmber, "clear as the Lambro". Anyway, some says that the name Lambro could come from two accadic terms: Luhmû (mud) e Ambar (swamp)
• Before the realization of the "Lambrone" canal and "Cavo Diotti" dam, lake Alserio and lake Pusiano, during flood season, could become a one big lake (the Magno Eupili) flooding all the area in between
• The name of the famous Lambretta motorcycle comes directly from the name of the river and was produced by the Innocenti factory in the Lambrate district. They also produced a three-wheeler named Lambro
• In the last years, the Lambro river has temporarily changed color many times because of chemical spills or natural phenomena:
