You are visiting Dover, the capital of Delaware, and specifically the grassy Mall area located between The Old State House and Legislative Hall. "Legislative Mall" is host to a variety of Annual Events such as: 4th of July Fireworks, the Annual Law Enforcement Memorial Service, Dover Days Festival, African American Festival, Amish Country Bike Tour, Dover Comic Con, and many charity walks, parades, concerts, marches, and even trick-or-treating for the kids!
Stop #1 is a replica of the Liberty Bell. It is located at the WEST end of the Mall at N 39° 09.408 W 75° 31.314. This reproduction, is one of a set of 53, cast in France, and given to the United States government in 1950. Look on the back side where the bell faces the grassy area. Stop #2 is the Delaware Law Enforcement Memorial. It is located at the SOUTH end of the Mall at N 39° 09.391 W 75° 31.268. This memorial pays tribute to Delaware's fallen police officers starting in 1863. It features the Great Seal of the State of Delaware along with a shield and rose and mirrors the inscription of the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington, D.C. Stop #3 is the Constitutional Compass Rose. It is located at the EAST end of the Mall at N 39° 09.428 W 75° 31.239.
