Initially named Ilanlîk (meaning Old Customs due to its proximity with Bulgaria), Vama Veche has long been known as a counterculture oasis. Today, that spirit remains, even with mass tourism looming. You can still find people camping on the beach, the nudes beaches are still there, and it remains a very popular party spot for all ages.
There are a few sights that are part of the Vama Veche experience. One of them is that particular door to nowhere, the other is the beach totem (see waypoint).
To validate this cache:
You have to take a picture at either of those spots, with the following requirements:
- Showing your face is optional
- Either the door or the totem should be clearly visible
- Include your GPS in your photo
- OR include your geocaching name (on a piece of paper, on your phone / tablet, on your t-shirt, on your body, whatever)
- OR use your fingers to display the initial of your geocaching name
These requirements are there to ensure you actually went to Vama Veche after this cache has been published. Re-using old vacation pictures is not permitted.
Any log that doesn't meet the requirements will be deleted!
Have fun in Vama Veche, and wait for the sunrise ;)
