Geocache Description:

One of my favorite kind of caches are the ones that remind us of the sacrifices that brave citizens have made to give us the most amazing home in which to raise a family, live and flourish in freedom. This one is in our home town, it is so special to me because of all the memories here. My son Justin was a young Cubscout when he carried the American flag for the Memorial Day Parade, both of my boys played in the band for many more Memorial Days. Most of all, each Memorial Day Parade comes to this intersection to listen to thoughts, memories and prayers of Veterans and their families. My Grandfather was career Army, spending WWI in the artillery then becoming an officer,he was a quiet honorable man with such strength. I am forever grateful for the future he gave us. To log this cache please choose one of the following options 1. post a selfie with the memorial in the background or 2. after visiting GZ, post a remembrance of someone important to you that served .

This Virtual Cache is part of a limited release of Virtuals created between August 24, 2017 and August 24, 2018. Only 4,000 cache owners were given the opportunity to hide a Virtual Cache. Learn more about Virtual Rewards on the Geocaching Blog.
