OUR CREEK
Sit and watch the creek in motion, eventually it all flows back to the ocean
The incoming tide is sometimes cold, to swim in this you must be bold.
The outgoing tide is always kinder, to swim in this there’s nothing finer
So find the cache, there is no race
Spend time to look around, enjoy the day before homeward bound
The creek is tidal and the best time to swim in it is when the tide is going out as the water has been warmed by the days sun. It is safe for children. Upstream supports a diverse range of creatures including tiny soldier crabs.
Look high in the sky and you may see a white bellied sea eagle that lives in this area. The white bellied sea eagle hunts near water. If you are lucky enough to see her nest you will find at the base of the tree fishy remains
Take the time to do a beach walk in either direction depending on tides and your time constraints.
There is a picnic table for you to sit at and enjoy the view. of the creek and the bay.
