We have a caravan here at Camping Bermejales and we were sad to discover that there wasnt many Geocaches in such a beautiful area, so we have made a short route which will visit some of the key places within the area, this route was made and planned by our children 13 & 10 years old. They have carefully saved containers and prepared them ready for this route.
Lake Bermejales is in Arena del rey in the Grandad provence and really is a hidden gem. It is a massive man made reservoir, with a cobbled bridge that acts as a dam. On the one side of the dam you have beautiful blue waters and the other side looks onto a stunning gorge. It is the colour of the water that is really special being a gorgeous deep turquoise blue, its impossible to resist a dip. The waters are safe for swimming, kayaking and wind surfing and in the summer months you can hire these from the lake side bar which is part of the campsite.
The lake is also great for walking and cycling especially in cooler months, its aprox 25km to cycle all the way round, there is a mountain bike path or road cyclists can stick to the roads, either way the views are stunning.
