You are standing at the cross roads of conant,IL. Once a busy little minimg town located 5 miles West of the county seat of Pinckneyville. On May 29, 1982 an F-3 tornado destroyed what was left of this community. The tornado started at the church of Trinity and traveled East and lifted about 1,000' feet North east of your location destroying six residents and injuried three people.
