There are a number of parking lay-bys on the housing estate, but the one indicated is the closest to one of the entrances to the wooded area. It can also be accessed from near the Oulston Road/Lime Tree Avenue junction. At both entrances silver birch trees help show the way.
Please do not attempt to access this cache from the north. It is called "Woodland Walk" because that is what you need to do. Just follow my clues, above, to the entrances to the woodland from the housing estate and the clues, below, to which path to take when you get to a junction.
The cache is a small clip lock box containing a few trinkets. Please leave the pencil with the log.
I have very rarely seen anyone in the woods, but it must be well used as the paths are well defined. It can be muddy after rain. Get away from the houses and enjoy your woodland walk.
