Today's event is planned to finish cutting back the willows growing in and around the pond at the Reserve.
These were cut back last year ( GC6RBQY) and last month (GC7BKNB) with a view to the cattle being put to graze the area. However their arrival was delayed by water issues and the willows have all regrown to beyond cow-browsability and need to be cut again.
The attendees all had great fun last year and hopefully will again this year. There is a bit more water in the pond this year so, who knows- boats may be involved.
Gloves, cutters and supervision will be given by the Ranger- Felicity but bring your own tools if you prefer.
Wellies, spare socks (and maybe towels) recommended
Children and dogs welcome but will need to be under parent/guardian/owner control.
