Geocache Description:

Sorsasalon eräalueella, Pieksämäellä, sijaitseva peruskätkö.
This is a forest cache in Sorsasalo area in Pieksämäki.

Kätkö esittelee maapenkkaperusteisen rakennuksen jäännöksen. Paikka on merkattu Metsähallituksen karttoihin MH-tunnuksella 182821. Rakennuksen koko on ollut 7x4 m. Yläpuolella rinteessä on tasattuja alueita, joissa lienee ollut myös rakenteita. Alue on varttunutta kuusimetsää. Puuston iän perusteella asumus lienee puretun 1900 luvun alkupuolella. Mikähän on ollut rakennusten tarkoitus aikoinaan? Kohde lienee kulttuuriperintökohteena suojeltu.

Kätköpurkki on 1,0L vetoinen, sisältäen mm. lokikirjan ja kynän.

Near the cache you find Ground-based building remnant. The size of the building has been 7x4 m. The area grows spruce forest. Based on the age of the trees the building was probably dismantled in the early 20th century. The item is probably protected as cultural heritage.

The cache container is 1,0 litre Tupperware that includs Log Book and Pen.
