The cache is a small plastic tube located in the rocky islet of Alatonisi (salty island) about 200m off Kokkina beach.
Kokkina beach is in two parts: one on the right-hand side with reddish pebbles and red-hued rocks (hence the name Kokkina which is Greek for “red things”), and the left-hand side (follow the road for about 50 metres) which is sandy and has few straw sun umbrellas. Because of its south-facing location, the beach is sheltered from the north wind so it’s often very calm with crystal clear water.
The closest village (about 1.5 km from the beach) is Finikas (named after the ancient port of the Phoenicians) which provides the closest option for food and drink.
The cache does not contain a pen, so you need to swim with one to be able to sign the log book
