When I created this puzzle, it was pretty easy to get the coordinates from the what3words website, but sometime around July 2018 it got changed so now it's harder. In fact, I think it's easier to use the Geocaching Toolbox and avoid the what3words site completely:
Go to what3words conversion and enter the 3 words into the white text boxes, then click on "Convert". The coordinates will appear in the format that geocachers are used to.
If for some reason you do want to use what3words map page, here's how:
Go to the what3words map page.
At the top of the window, there's a notice about using cookies; click on "GOT IT".
Click in the Search bar and enter your 3 words, with dots in between and a carriage return after them. You'll see a map of the cache location.
To get the coordinates, click on "MENU" in the lower right corner, then click on "Share Settings". (As of 2/4/2019, it no longer says "MENU". Instead, click on the 8-toothed gear symbol near the lower right corner.)
Click the grey dot next to "Longitude & Latitude"; it should move to the right and become darker. Click on the box next to "Degrees, Decimal Mins". The coords will now be visible in the grey box just below "Share Settings".
If you think you have the coordinates, you can check them with Certitude. Note: You don't have to convert them to the usual format used for geocaching; Certitude understands decimal degrees.
You can also see who else has solved the puzzle. Note: You can remain anonymous if you want to; incorrect guesses are always anonymous. (Puzzle makers, you can create your own Certitude links here.)
Congratulations to the first certified solver, lmt000, and the first finder, humspuds.
*How easy a crossword puzzle is depends on how you try to solve it. Without consulting any references, this one may be challenging for some people. But if you look things up using Google or whatever, it should be easy.
