Geocache Description:

This Eagle Scout project involved the building of a Little Free Library for the adjacent Church. This Eagle Scout service project was completed in June of 2017 by a Boy Scout from Troop 559. For this project the Eagle Scout candidate led 31 volunteers in over 185 hours of service.

The Eagle Scout Rank is the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scout program of the Boy Scouts of America. Reaching the rank of Eagle Scout requires years of dedication and hard work on the part of the Boy Scout. In addition to the 21 required merit badges they must earn, each Scout must complete an extensive service project the he plans, organizes, leads, and manages. The intent of this project is to demonstrate the Eagle candidate has developed substantial leadership skills over his Scouting career.

This Eagle Scout project involved the building of a small library. This Eagle Scout service project was completed in June of 2017 by a Boy Scout from Troop 559. For this project the Eagle Scout candidate led 31 volunteers in over 185 hours of service. The library was custom designed and modeled after the exterior of the Church.
