Geocache Description:

This two stage multi-cache starts at the Kinsmen Discovery Centre inside the zoo. The final stage is not inside the zoo, so be sure to collect all information before you leave. It is with the Assiniboine Park area, though so you won't have to venture too far.

The Kinsmen Discovery Centre  was originally opened in 1990. Head inside. In the building you will see numerous displays of various fish, reptiles, rodents and even some mammals. Read the signs to find the answers to the final location for this multi-cache at:

N 49 52.ABC W 097 13.DEF

To find each of the letters, complete these questions.

1.  Find the sign that tells “What you can do to protect coral reefs.” A = How many suggestions (bullets) are there for ways you can protect our coral reefs.

2.  Find the sign for “Banded Archerfish”. B = How many numbers/numerals are on this sign.

3.  Find the Slender-tailed Meerkats… C = How many meerkats are always on the lookout, watching for predators.

4.  Find the Prehensile-tailed Skink… D = The prehensile-tailed skink carries the developing young inside her for six to _____ months. Can you believe it's eight months? Hehe... another original sign has been removed so it's your lucky day. Check out the skink, though. It's really cool!

5.  Find a Fire Emergency Procedure Sign… E = This is building # ___8

6.  Find the Rat Snakes… Rat snakes have two main groups: Elaphe guttate (corn or red snakes) and Elaphe obsoleta. F = How many subgroups of elaphe obsoleta there are. NOTE: There are 4 subgroups of elaphe obsoleta. The original sign has been removed.
