The swamp milkweed is a perfect plant for monarch butterflies. They need milkweed to lay their eggs. Once they hatch the caterpillars eats the milkweed plant. This makes it poisonous to predators. Look for the black, yellow, and white caterpillar. The cache is located across the bridge from the pollinator garden, so after you find the cache, enjoy the stroll over the bridge.
