Sign group waiver form when signing in.

Bring your pickers if you need. We won't have any this year.

Cache In Trash Out® Event
Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve

Meeting Time:
Sunday September 24, 7:30 - 9:00am
Location: Peñasquitos Creek Park

From the meeting area, there are several routes available.

Trails 1) Main trail west towards Snake In The Grass to Carson's Crossing and then continue to Waterfall near Jurassic Park: Los Peñasquitos Canyon.
2) West "inside" trail by The 80's Cache, Ethan's Big Tree Place to Carson's Crossing and onto Waterfall.
3) East from park at Stake My Claim then towards Don't Drink From This Stream along small trail to Rancho De Los Penasquitos (N32° 56.325 W 117° 08.365).
4) South to Peñasquitos Creek Park Crossing (N32° 56.251 W117° 09.013 ) and East to Ranch House Crossing (N32° 56.312 W117° 08.142) or West to waterfall. Multiple caches in the TUTT series in both directions.
5) Cross the street to TH at N32°56.421 W11° 08.960 and head north towards Chris' Secret Container
6) For a shorter walk to the waterfall, drive to TH near Lumberjack Cache (after signing in and getting a trash bag

).
7) Another option is the Del Mar Mesa Trail. A short drive to TH at N32° 56.333' W 117° 10.125. Head North up to the mesa or South towards The Ride of the Headless Horseman and on to the Waterfall.

In Case of Rain.
Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve is closed
during and after rain storms.
As a backup, we will remove litter along Park Village Rd.

CAUTIONS Open space areas are home to rattlesnakes, poison oaks, mountain lions, rugged terrain, and other hazards. Please be aware and have a safe visit to the Preserve. Bring water, sun protection, and wear good footwear. There is poison oak along the trails closest to the creek. Watch where you walk and reach when picking up litter.
Peñasquitos Waterfall	Carson's Crossing
ITEMS TO WATCH FOR Ranger asked that we look for "party spots". If you come across areas that have couches, chairs, tables or other large items, drag items onto the main trail for ranger to pickup. If you can't move them, mark a waypoint for the ranger. Watch for and remove any drug paraphernalia that you find. Trash bags can be left at the main TH (additional waypoint TO N32° 56.380 W117° 09.143) for ranger to pickup.
