Where paths unexpectedly crossed in the Simpson Desert
Having not seen people from the outside world for over 10 days as they crossed the desert west to east via Madigan's line, Oky's mates heard a strange voice over the CB radio. Lo and behold - someone else was out there. It turned out to be Lasso the Moon - walking south/north through the desert and his support crew. They were only about one dune west of us, so we headed west and met up for lunch. Rob (AKA Lasso the moon) claimed this 14 day walk was merely a training run for bigger adventures in the south pole. To commemorate our meeting this cache was planted.
