This cache is dedicated to our two wonderful cats, Ciao Bello and Little Bit, two Italian cats who have seen the world with us, one Army move at a time.
Christian first met Ciao and Bit in 2002, shortly after they were adopted by our friends BWB3 during their assignment in Vicenze, Italy. We got to visit them much more often after we moved from Arizona to Germany, where BWB3 had moved as well. Although they loved their kitties, they were worried how they would fare during their upcoming assignment to Korea. We said we'd be happy to adopt them, and Ciao Bello and Little Bit became part of the family.
From Italy to Germany to Virginia to Alabama to Oklahoma to Texas and back to Virginia, these resilient cats have traveled many a mile, but they still love us enough to stick around and let us feed them and clean up after them. Now that they're in their teen years, they're not quite the energetic kittens they used to be, but they're tough cats -- Little Bit might be going deaf, but he's still a sweetheart, and even a dog attack last year couldn't keep Ciao Bello down.
So here's to you, kitties! Thanks for putting up with us for the past thirteen years!
