Geocache Description:

A quick park and grab on the way to somewhere fun, whether that be to San Antonio Lake or to Hwy 1 and Big Sur, or a 100 other spots. There are quite a variety of things to see and do on this road, if you know where to look.

I placed the cache here because this is right across from what is now a Grange. What it used to be in the early 1980's was a bar and grill, And the owner, Duane, also raised and slaughtered pigs in the back yard. We lived just north of this place, about 1/2 mile on a dirt road, which I walked every M-F morning & afternoon to catch/get off the school bus.We walked right by the pigs and many a morning Duane had one strung up skinning it or butchering. We even ended up with a runt piglet, which grew to be close to 300lbs! The cache is near a mailbox, but they aren't where I remember them. They used to be on the east side of the dirt road, a whole string of them. There were problably 10 houses that got mail here, but they all seem to be gone now. There is nothing left of the house where I spent 1st thru 8th grade, except 3 old grain tanks, and Duane and his lovely wife Virginia moved on years ago. Happy Caching!
