Geocache Description:

Cache placed for the 2017 KNC Geocaching Extravaganza, Fall Edition! The KNC offers a beautiful natural setting to explore, 10+ miles on 14 different trails of various terrain, and chances to encounter wildlife! There is an admission fee to hike the trails. April through October the trails are open 9am to dusk. November-March the trails are open from 9am-6pm. More details are available at http://www.naturecenter.org/ to help plan your visit!

This may be a tree climber for some, it just depends on whether you're built more like the Brachiosaurus or like the Microraptor!  You should be able to see your goal though while standing on firm earth!

Did you know?

Dinosaur skulls had large holes or “windows” that made their skulls lighter. Some of the largest skulls were as long as a car.

Dinosaurs lived on all the continents, including Antarctica.

While many people think dinosaurs were massive, dinosaurs were usually human sized or smaller. Scientists believe that the larger bones were just easier to be fossilized.

The first dinosaurs that appeared during the Triassic Period 230 million years ago were small and lightweight. Bigger dinosaurs such as Brachiosaurus and Triceratops appeared during the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods.

As always, it's up to you whether or not to pursue finding and signing the log on a particular geocache -- please know that you choose to find each of these geocaches, and do so at your own risk. Please be considerate to the natural surroundings as you enjoy all that KNC has to offer, and try to leave the environment a little better than before you visit!
