The cache is hidden outside, but the monastery deserves to be visited.

Баткунският манастир "Св. св. Петър и Павел" е основан през 11-12в. в близост до крепостта Баткунион. През 1657 и 1774г. манастирът е опожарен от турците и е бил един от 33-те разрушени манастира по време на насилственото помохамеданчване на българското християнско население в Родопите. През 18в. в манастира се е водила духовно-просветна дейност и е функционорало килийно училище. През 19в. Баткунският манастир е възобновен, а през 1870г. е издигната и сегашната църква. За известно време през 1867г. тук е творил и живял възрожденския зограф Станислав Доспевски. Днес Баткунският манастир е постоянно действащ и представлява комплекс от черква, жилищни и стопански сгради. В двора на манастира расте една от най-старите лозници в България. Има и зоо- кът, който е интересен за децата.

The Batkunski Monastery of St. Peter and Paul was founded in 11-12 c. close to Batkunion Fortress. In 1657 and 1774, the monastery was burned down by the Turks and was one of the 33 destroyed monasteries during the forced conversion to Mohammedanism of the Bulgarian Christian population to the Rhodopes. In the 18th century. in the monastery there was a spiritual-educational activity and a functional church school. In the 19th century. The Batkun monastery was restored, and in 1870, the current church was erected. For some time in 1867. here was painted and lived iconographer Stanislav Dospevski. Today, the Batkun Monastery is permanently active and is a complex of church, residential and farming buildings. In the yard of the monastery grows one of the oldest vine in Bulgaria. There is also the zoo, which is interesting for children.
