Geocache Description:

simple cache and grab! magnetic nano with a twist

This is our second cache and want to place it in memory of my grandad who had an allotment up here with my dad. I have fond memories up here helping prepare the ground and picking the fruit and veg, and the time we spent as a family. This is placed at one of the entrances to the Hucknall Cottage Garden holders Association allotments, more information about them can be found here http://www.cityfarmer.info/2016/09/21/uk-hucknall-allotment-holders-searching-for-historic-records-begun-in-1840s/ these allotments have been providing food for families for decades. The gardens date back to the time of the Land Enclosures in the 1840’s when the land was given to poor cottage holders of Hucknall by the Duke of Portland. this is a magnetic nano "shaped" container head height along the fence to the allotments. it is accessible from the road side of the fence no access is needed to the allotments themselves. this is just a log so will need to bring your own pen(cil) tweezers may help; it can be busy at times as it is near a access pathway to the bypass and Beauvale Estate and one f the main gates into the allotments so stealth needed. I would like to say a huge thank you to the Cottage garden Holders Association Committee who have kindly given permission for me to place this here. This is a disabled accessible cache ! this can be reached from a wheelchair or mobility scooter by hand. i have registered it at the link below i hope that helps? the cache is on flat tarmac path with parking at GZ of the GPS coordinates, there is a slight slop 10% or less if accessing from the public transport bus stop on the adjoining street. using a wheelchair or mobility scooter it is easily reached without needing to stretch or over reach via a flat tarmac path, it is fairly easily see attached by magnet on the metal fence. there may be weeds at the bottom of the fence but this is situated at a local allotment holders entrance which is maintain by them throughout the year so weeds should be low or removed. http://www.handicaching.com/show.php?waypoint=GC7CW46
