Geocache Description:

A series of easy family and kid friendly caches designed to get the family out for a walk in the woods and to grab some caches along the way!

Number 3 in a series of 4 caches all located along the north loop of the Rome Town Center trails owned by the Town of Rome. Someday the property may be developed for business purposes, but for now the town has created recreational trails that wind through the property. This property, like thousands of acres in the area, was formerly owned by the paper companies and is planted in red pines. Most of the trails are located on old logging or "tote" roads as they were called back in the day. Most of the trails are mown grass but parts are gravel covered so bicycles can cut through the property. The caches were placed with the permission of the Rome Town Board. The trails are fairly level and all caches are placed close to the trail. All are good size containers stocked with fun kids stuff picked out by my grandson. So load up the kids and some trade goods and come out and explore the woods and have some family fun finding these caches.
