Geocache Description:

Enjoy a hike along the Bruce Trail and the Woodend Conservation Area while searching for this preform container! Please be sure to secure the lid and place back exactly where the it was found!

This location features the Bruce Trail and other trails that meander through the meadow and escarpment forest and slope. The forest is composed largely of hardwood species with some representatives of Carolinian species.

Woodend is considered to have been an observation point during the War of 1812 for both armies. The Thompson House on site also has many historic connections.

Woodend is also home to students participating in outdoor education programs at the Walker Living Campus Outdoor Education Centre part of the District School Board of Niagara.
