Geocache Description:

China, Yunnan province, Baishuitai terraces, altitude 2603 meters. Formerly Tiger Leaping Cache (2002).

The original cache from 2002 was made of a 500 ml. water bottle and contained small souvenir from the Netherlands (see pictures). The conditions made the cache decay over the years. It has been replaced in 2012.

It was called the Tiger Leaping cache since it was actually prepared to be stashed in the Tiger Leaping Gorge. This couldn't be completed because of heavy rains. It was one of the first geocaches in China (actually the first on geocaching.com).

More recently the cache was found by Lindellen and WL_Kicker. The cache was in bad condition and replaced.

The Baishuitai limestone terraces are a great sight to see. I uploaded two photos, more can be seen at my web page. At this web page you also find more interesting waypoints from around the province and from Beijing.
