Geocache Description:

As a celebration of sixty years on the planet, I have placed twenty caches along this excellent trailway between East Peoria and Morton.  This series is an awesome bike ride, but can also be attempted on foot for the healthy and ambitious.  Within the series, there are five magnetic keyholders; five pill bottles; four small containers; three series tributes, two 3D printer objects, and only one bison tube.

The series is located on the Carl Bud Schmit trailway.  This has also been called the Fon du lac trail and the OLD ITR.  Total distance on the trail is slightly over 9 miles one way.  E.P. to Morton is basically uphill and the return trip is mostly downhill.  Caches are distributed evenly along the trail.  This trail is used by many residents and guests who won't know what geo-caching is all about.  Please be stealthy when retrieving and replacing the caches.  All of the caches will be low difficulty and the terrain should pose no problems as each cache is placed no more than 20 yards (60 feet) from the trail path.  These caches are placed with the permission of the Fon du lac park district.  Please be respectful of all trail users. Obey the park district regulations. There is no night caching on this trail.  Good Luck.

This trail is used by many walkers, runners and bikers.  Please geo-cache with stealth.  If you pause to search for a cache, do not leave obstacles on the trail.  BYOP.  No TOTT will be required.   The nearest free parking is indicated for each cache with a parking waypoint.
