Our dog Zero was 13 years old when he finally succumbed to cancer. He loved to romp in the brush and scamper with the bunnies here at Lake Skinner. He might have been mistaken for a wolf but he was as gentle as a teddy bear. I held him as he drifted to sleep for the last time and his paw will forever hold a place in my heart, in fact I got two small paw prints tattooed on my ankle the day after he passed so that we can walk together always. I still hear his collar clinking in the distance sometimes but I try not to be sad, I know he had his purpose in life, he was my hero.
