OLD MAN CACHE: This cache is one of three in a Upper Wind River series. You are required a Northwest Forest Permit which can be obtained at the local Ranger station. This is a medium size cache, in a Tupperware container, with lots of goodies for everyone. The cache is easy access for hikers, bikers, cross county skiers and those with children.
This is one of our favorite places to mountain bike, hike and camp. North of this location is Lone Butte that is a Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation/US Forest Service elk habitat area. On our adventures to Lone Butte area we have seen all types of wildlife.
