Due to the mentoring and cheer-leading of Amtg, a "seasoned" geocacher, we set the location, the date, and the venue. We even had a few folks who placed some geocaches in the area to "bait" the event, and make for some fun after the meet-up.
WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT ALMOST 80 PEOPLE WOULD SHOW UP!
So it's time to "see where we all are today". Looking back at the list of attendees at that first GC&C event, it's amazing how many of you have become good friends, with whom many of us have shared great adventures. I saw names of people that I didn't even know had attended! Some have left the hobby, moved to other States, other jobs, and other interests, but MOST are still active. "Local" has become a relative word for many of us now who know people literally all over the world, and have traveled to places we NEVER thought we would visit, just because of this great hobby.

Maude's Classic Café is a locally owned business with indoor and outdoor seating,hopefully the weather will be nice enough to sit outside.
Maude’s has a large coffee selection as well a full breakfast/brunch menu.
This event is a meet and greet so green and seasoned cachers can share experiences,stories and trackables (bring ‘em if ya got ‘em)."
Much like the first time we met, there will be food and beverages available (but NOT required to purchase in order to attend), a log to sign, a trackables table, a raffle, and a 50/50, along with some new caches hidden just for the event.
