Julius ante portas Traditional Cache

Caldana Maremma è un piccolo borgo medievale, che appartiene al comune di Gavorrano. E' stata fondata nel 1000 dai vescovi di Roselle. Ha ricevuto il suo aspetto attuale, tuttavia, quando è stato incorporato nel 1500 nel Granducato di Toscana. Caldana ha circa 1100 abitanti e attira con il suo fascino toscano molti visitatori anno dopo anno. Da vedere sono soprattutto la chiesa principale Chiesa di San Biagio, ha detto di essere stato progettato da studenti di Michelangelo, il centro storico e le mura della città (Mura di Caldana).

Visitatori soprattutto tedeschi conosce il villaggio sotto il nome di Montecastello dalla serie famiglia "Ein Haus in der Toscana" (Una casa in Toscana, 1990-1994), che è circa le esperienze della famiglia tedesca Donner di Frisinga (vicino Monaco) nella loro casa di vacanza in Toscana. Uno dei luoghi era la Via Aldo Moro, che conduce al bar e la chiesa alla fine della strada.

Nei titoli di apertura della serie si sia mai visto il padre di famiglia, Julius Donner, insegnante di latino di professione, seduto in macchina. Pieni di aspettative per le prossime vacanze in Toscana, poi gridò: "Rallegratevi, Toscana! Julius ante portas!"

Dalla cache, avete una splendida vista sul villaggio, si possono godere più volte anche nella serie. Naturalmente ho potuto nascondere una cache micro al bar o presso la chiesa. Ho deciso tuttavia coscientemente per un sito di fuori del villaggio, che sembra a me un po' più sicuro e offre spazio per una cache small.

Caldana is a small medieval village in Maremma which belongs to the municipality of Gavorrano. It was founded around the year 1000 by the bishops of Roselle. However, it received its current appearance when it was incorporated in the Grand Duchy of Tuscany around the year 1500. Caldana has about 1100 inhabitants and its Tuscan charm attracts year after year many visitors. Worth seeing are primarily the main church Chiesa di San Biagio (said to have been designed by students of Michelangelo), the old town and the city walls (Mura di Caldana).

Especially to German visitors the village should still be known under the name of Montecastello from the family series "Ein Haus in der Toscana" (A House in Tuscany, 1990-94), which is about the experiences of the German family Donner from Freising near Munich in their vacation home in Tuscany. Among the shooting locations was inter alia the Via Aldo Moro, which leads to the bar and the church at the end of the road.

In the opening credits of the series the viewers saw the father of the family, Julius Donner, a Latin teacher by profession, sitting in his car. Full of anticipation for the upcoming holidays in Tuscany he then cried: "Rejoice, Tuscany! Julius ante portas!"

From the cache, you have the same wonderful view over the village that the viewers can also enjoy several times in the series. Of course I could have placed this cache as a micro at the bar or at the church. However, I decided intentionally in favour of a location outside the village which seems to me somewhat safer and which offers space for a small.

Caldana ist ein kleines mittelalterliches Maremma-Dorf, das zur Gemeinde Gavorrano gehört. Es wurde um das Jahr 1000 von den Bischöfen von Roselle gegründet. Sein heutiges Gesicht erhielt es jedoch, als es um das Jahr 1500 in das Großherzogtum Toskana integriert wurde. Caldana zählt rund 1100 Einwohner und lockt mit seinem toskanischen Charme Jahr für Jahr zahlreiche Besucher an. Sehenswert sind vor allem die Hauptkirche Chiesa di San Biagio, die von Schülern Michelangelos entworfen worden sein soll, die Altstadt und die Stadtmauer (Mura di Caldana).

Vor allem deutschen Besuchern dürfte das Dorf auch unter dem Namen Montecastello aus der Familienserie „Ein Haus in der Toscana“ (1990-94) bekannt sein, die von den Erlebnissen der deutschen Familie Donner aus Freising in ihrem Ferienhaus in der Toskana handelt. Als Drehort diente hier unter anderem die Via Aldo Moro, die auf die Bar und die Kirche am Ende der Straße mündet.

Im Vorspann der Serie sah man immer den Vater der Familie, Julius Donner, von Beruf Lateinlehrer, im Auto sitzend. Voller Vorfreude auf den bevorstehenden Aufenthalt in der Toskana rief er dann: „Freue dich, Toskana! Julius ante portas!“

Vom Cache aus hat man einen wunderbaren Blick auf das Dorf, den man auch in der Serie mehrfach genießen darf. Natürlich hätte man diesen Cache auch als Micro an der Bar oder an der Kirche platzieren können. Ich habe mich jedoch bewusst für einen Standort außerhalb des Dorfs entschieden, der mir etwas sicherer scheint und Platz für einen Small bietet.

Wo genau das Haus der Familie Donner steht, ist nur wenigen bekannt (sucht es nicht in Caldana!). Der Owner weiß es und gibt diese Information gerne gegen einen Beitrag für die Fansite zur Serie www.haus-in-der-toscana.de heraus.
