We came down ths road to explore the coastline and checking to see if there were any great spots to put new caches. We intended on driving this road in and another out at the other end of the channel, but decided to return and place some new caches in what seemed likley spots. Unfortunately when stopping to do it, up close wasn't as nice as it seemed from the road. This coastline is in need of a CITO event for sure, but watching the fishermen was enjoyable, and there are so many different kinds of birds for the birdwatchers. From here an entirely different view of Abu Dhabi can be seen. Follow the sand track all the way, two wheel drive accessible, SUV not needed as we saw many cars all along the way. Do stay on the compact track!
Some things just don't make sense to us though, such as this sign in the middle of nowhere! We couldn't resist placing a cache, but with the surroundings as they are, all that would work is the typical magnetic nano.
